2B Or Not 2B together @2bmcr

Who We are

2B Or Not 2B (@2bmcr) started in the summer of 2018. We are two sisters who returned from living in London to our hometown of Manchester, UK. Elsa is the oldest by 2 years and 2 months but Sarah is just as good. We knew from experience that the world can be a tough and scary place so we thought, you know what? This will be much better if we face these things together.

We both have a love for illustration and storytelling. As kids we would make up so much stuff, read books together and laugh at our own ridiculously silly jokes. We try and inject this energy, this joyful familiarity into our work. We hope our illustrations make you smile, make you feel accounted for and hopefully, make your day a little better.

Follow us on instagram for up to date information on what were working on. Be the first to spot prints, zines and other merch, or just spy on us as we travel around, eating delicious things and meeting lovely people.

We can often be found on the road going to markets to meet you in person. This is one of our absolute favourite things to do. We always bring too much stuff and there are almost always stairs, but we live and learn!

You can find our wares online over at Etsy in our shop 2Bmcr and in some real life bricks and mortar stores. You can check out our stockists on our special page for them (you lovely people you). We’re always interested in finding new places to be so if you have any leads, let us know

Meet the two sisters that make up 2B Or Not 2B

Sarah Hingley

aka @Sazzsquatch

Sarah is a story teller at heart. She was always lost in a book doodling dragons with ridiculously long names or reading fantastical stories. Her illustrations carry a special line that is truly her own. Her Bitter Lemon character has come to symbolise her ability to capture a reliability that has now expanded to prints, zines and an on going comic series.

She’s the one who gets hands on with the riso printer and always has the best snacks.

Elsa Hingley-Knight

aka @Elsaghk

Elsa has the stupidest sense of humour that working with a sister helps to amplify and spread into her work. She is most proud of her Lil’ Peach self help zine “You’ve got this!” that dives into advice that those of us with a lack of self confidence can resonate with. You can often find her coming up with harebrained schemes for new products and spending too much money on stationary.
